Immigration Journeys: Old and New

April 01 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Immigration Journeys: Old and New
Digital Storytelling and Community Conversations

Many of us – our parents, grandparents or great grandparents– came from another country – perhaps from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America. Or maybe you are a refugee from one of these areas. Ten of your neighbors, both long-time residents and newcomers, have created their own short video accounts about immigration to the Pittsburgh area.Share these experiences with them and others in our community. Join in a discussion about what it was like a generation ago and what it is like now to become uprooted and start a new life. Enjoy food from different cultures, music and dance, and learn more about the mosaic of cultures that makes up our community.
