We are pleased to welcome Harold Hayes, retired veteran reporter and journalist with KDKA-TV as our speaker. A native of McKeesport, Harold is a graduate of South Hills High School and the University of Pittsburgh, and spent 37 years of his 40-year career in Pittsburgh. Harold Hayes will share his experiences covering stories about the region, providing the audience with some perspective about the challenges this region has faced in the past and the ways this community has responded.
Given the recent tragic event in our community, we believe this edition of Vibrant Voices is an opportunity to have a dialogue with our corporate members about the issue of unity, inclusion, perhaps even healing and the type of community and workplace we can strive to create. Whether longtime Pittsburghers or newcomers, we come together in the midst of our differences and our similarities to tackle the challenges and opportunities of our organizations. We’ve asked our speaker to facilitate a conversation to examine the reflections of our audience members and explore the question so many of you have asked, "what can we do?" The audience will discuss and share ideas for the individual, organization and Employee Resource Groups to sustain and foster the unity that continues to be demonstrated by so many.
