Customer Service Representative (Temporary)

Under semi-direct supervision accepts and approves applications, cancellations, and transfers for electric service; establishes payment arrangements, and reports emergency conditions to the Distribution Operations Center.
Job Responsibilities:Accepts and approves applications, cancellations, and transfers for electric service; explains Company policies, practices, and procedures relating to such application; determines deposit requirementsAnswers customer inquiries concerning payment arrangements, and approves payment arrangements within prescribed instructionsReceives and immediately reports all emergency conditions to the Distribution Operations Center.Determines, initiates, or completes the necessary administrative functions to assure proper handling of the above transactions
Education/Experience Requirements:High school graduate or equivalentPreferred six months or experience in Customer Service or Credit and Collection related work having direct contact with customers.Demonstrates exceptional poise, good judgment and tact, as indicated by the ability to handle all customer contacts in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner.Must be neat and accurate in work as indicated by the ability to compose a brief, simple and logical letter, compile statistical data, and to prepare orders.
