Under semi-direct supervision accepts and approves applications, cancellations, and transfers for electric service; establishes payment arrangements, and reports emergency conditions to the Distribution Operations Center.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Accepts and approves applications, cancellations, and transfers for electric service; explains Company policies, practices, and procedures relating to such application; determines deposit requirements
  • Answers customer inquiries concerning payment arrangements, and approves payment arrangements within prescribed instructions
  • Receives and immediately reports all emergency conditions to the Distribution Operations Center.
  • Determines, initiates, or completes the necessary administrative functions to assure proper handling of the above transactions

  • Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Preferred six months or experience in Customer Service or Credit and Collection related work having direct contact with customers.
  • Demonstrates exceptional poise, good judgment and tact, as indicated by the ability to handle all customer contacts in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Must be neat and accurate in work as indicated by the ability to compose a brief, simple and logical letter, compile statistical data, and to prepare orders.
