The incumbent directs the day to day functions of the Admissions Services Department of the Kane Regional Centers in accordance with Feder, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities.

Duties:

  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates admissions activities for the four Kane Regional Centers.
  • Supervises the work of subordinate staff, through the assignment of work, establishment of priorities, approval of leave requests, and the completion of performance appraisals.
  • Presents informational in-services on the benefits and services of the Kane Regional Centers to outside organizations.
  • Represents the Kane Regional Centers by participating in community organizations, i.e., SWPPA, The Federation, OASIS, Chamber of Commerce, panels and discussion groups to exchange information and ideas to further the cause of the older adult.
  • Prepares monthly status reports detailing application and admission data.
  • Assists the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director on special projects.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or directed.

  • Minimum Requirements:†
    A Bachelorís degree in Nursing, an Associateís degree in Nursing, or graduation from a Diploma Nursing Program AND four (4) years of casework or social work experience in a long-term care or medical facility OR a Masterís Degree in Nursing AND three (3) years of† casework or social work experience in a long-term care or medical facility.
