Part-Time Application Reader, Undergraduate Admission

Our Office of Undergraduate Admission is hiring several Pittsburgh-based part-time application readers for the fall/winter of 2020 - early spring of 2021 (typically November-March). Trainings and weekly meeting attendance are expected. Readers will thoroughly and holistically evaluate application materials, helping to enroll an academically and artistically qualified, diverse class. Readers will also complete assigned readings/articles/materials to ensure adequate knowledge of current and historical admission/higher education information.

Readers will work approximately 18-22 hours per week and will have a flexible schedule. Selected candidates need to be available for training from November 2-November 6, then will begin working more regular hours a few weeks later (typically early December).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior admission/recruiting and/or secondary education experience
  • Proven excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Proven proficiency with technology OR technology user
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to attend weekly staff meetings in Pittsburgh
