The University of Pittsburgh launched LifeX to support Pittsburgh and the region's efforts to capture the next economy allowing it to rise as a global innovation city. The LifeX platform was developed as a way to enhance the regional growth of early stage life-science companies by leading the development of a supportive environment. Specifically, LifeX is a life science startup accelerator focused on providing early stage companies with the support, resources and ecosystem they need to be successful. Currently, the LifeX platform contains wet and dry lab space, a valuable set of acceleration programming, regional recognition for its convening role and a staff eager to expand its offerings and partners. LifeX is well on its way to impacting the region, and a full-time CEO is needed to oversee all day-to-day operations of the organization while delivering and expanding on its growth trajectory. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall success of LifeX by providing leadership and direction setting for the organization.
