Business Support Specialist

To work with customers, carriers and end-users to provide first-level business process, administrative and technical assistance as it relates to on-boarding new business, successful integration to our TMS and ongoing support


  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers
  • Responding to emails or phone calls from employees, customers and carriers who need help with software or computer-related issues
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to our TMS system, customer / carrier integration, rejected or poor-quality images, data imports, etc.  Working with next level support technicians or analyst as needed.
  • Create, run, schedule and maintain reports via SQL Report Builder
  • Learn the functions, data processes and back end of software to advance skill set and continually improve level of support
  • Help the development team in conceptualizing updates and upgrades based on customer feedback that will enhance the user experience
  • Data Entry, table updates, data imports, create and run SQL queries as required for the purpose of maintaining back-end systems and business processes
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously 


  • Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Four-year degree, preferably in Information Systems, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field and / or the equivalent in education and work experience
  • Must possess MS SQL language abilities in reading and requesting information from databases
  • SQL report builder experience is preferred
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be proficient in using MS Office products.
  • Ability to set and accomplish goals by working independently
  • Must possess general understanding of web base technology and database structure
  • Must be able to manage projects and multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and requirements
  • Must possess excellent follow-up and organizational skills
  • Reasonable math/statistical/numerical/reporting/presentation skills
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and energetically share ideas and gain understanding of daily Operations functions
  • Time management skills are essential
