In this role, the Development Officer is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Development in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding alumni and friends of the university for the purpose of increasing philanthropic support. The Development Officer, Special Initiatives responds to the university’s changing needs to support the strategic plan and other university priorities, performing these duties as an energetic and entrepreneurial colleague who has an understanding of, and passion for, the mission of the university and its future.
Our candidate will already understand the gift cycle and value of relationships in the not for profit space, and be responsible for assisting in the growth of the university. This sort of position is not your typical 9-5 role, as phone calls and face-to-face visits outside of typical working hours is to be expected.
