All Support Staff The Unlicensed Home and Community Support staff is a 1:1 Direct Service position that provides assistance, monitoring and/or training to individuals with intellectual disability in their own or family home. This position is designed to provide quality services to individuals and is guided by Positive Practices and Person Centered Planning. Staff must have the ability to read, write and do simple math, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, maintain composure and make sound judgements in stressful situations. This position is directly responsible to the Support Staff Supervisor and is expected to operate with considerable initiative and professionalism. Staff must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer knowledge is expected to complete job duties. In-Home and Community Support In addition to the All Support Staff description, this position also provides documented assistance to individuals with specified Outcome/Goal actions as stated in the Individual Support Plan (ISP). If community integration is required as a part of the goal and driving is involved, current driver and vehicle documentation is required.These services enable families to recruit and choose a staff person. After qualifying, this person is hired and paid by Mercy Intellectual Disabilities Services. Positions is Part time/flexible.
