The Area Director of Customer Excellence is responsible for driving innovation and providing technical and people leadership across a diverse set of engineers to ensure the success of our existing and potential customer base within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for leveraging experience, subject matter expertise and customer relationship skills to lead the ANSYS NA Systems pre-sales team into new technology sectors to capitalize on emerging markets and growing trends in industry. The role develops and executes methodologies that create a paradigm shift in how our customers expand their use of ANSYS technologies driving software revenue. This role is a thought leader who has influence throughout the organization on a worldwide scale.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or other technical discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering environment
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience at ANSYS or other engineering software company involved with technical and customer support
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in creating and delivering hardware and/or software products in the mission and safety-critical product space.
  • Understanding of ANSYS products, technology and how these tools are used by our customers in their product development process
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales, Marketing and Development teams to meet goals
  • Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management
  • Must be familiar with delivering systems and software complying with international safety and cybersecurity standards such as DO-178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, EN 50128, ISO 15408, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
