To encourage a culture in our Beaver County schools, businesses, and government agencies where inclusion and diversity are valued, and all individuals reach their maximum potential.
The concept of IDAC began in approximately 2012 with an organization formerly known as the Cultural Linguistics Competency (CLC), which strove to improve cultural relations through a better understanding of language and its effects in minority communities. In 2016 the organization decided to formalize its structure and changed its name to the Inclusion, Diversity, and Awareness Council (IDAC). At that time the group elected officers, formed committees to address specific goals, and pursued activities to increase employment opportunities for disenfranchised citizens.
