Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting is an independent, locally owned, community-supported public media organization. PCBC is home to 90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh’s NPR News Station, and 91.3 WYEP, serving the more than 2 million residents of Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities by leveraging the power of public media to inform, inspire and entertain. Our vision is to foster a community that is well-informed, inclusive and engaged. Our mission is to create and distribute trusted content, build connections and strengthen our community through public media.
90.5 WESA is the largest radio news and information service in Pittsburgh. Honored with dozens of national and regional awards, our journalism plays a critical role in the communities we serve. 91.3 WYEP is an essential element of Pittsburgh’s cultural community, as a source for musical discovery and a home for local musical performance for nearly 50 years. In addition to radio programming, both stations play an active role in engaging the community through online and mobile services and in-person events and have a prominent voice in Pittsburgh’s civic and cultural affairs.
