The Milk Shake Factory’s hand spun milkshakes, chocolates, and sundaes that Pittsburgh enjoys on the South Side will soon be available in the city’s newest skyscraper – The Tower at PNC Plaza.
The Milk Shake Factory by Edward Marc Brands will occupy a new retail space inside The Tower at PNC Plaza located on Fifth Avenue with an opening date set for the first quarter of 2016.
“We made the South Side sweeter, and now we’re making downtown more delicious,” said Dana Edwards Manatos, creator of The Milk Shake Factory and Co-CEO of Edward Marc Brands. “We are all very excited about the opportunity to partner with PNC on this space and contributing to the ongoing revival of our city’s downtown.”
With the opening of the downtown location, The Milk Shake Factory will also launch a brand new look while maintaining the high quality desserts and friendly atmosphere that Pittsburgh has come to know. The updated menu will include imaginative milkshakes, small plate fondue, Italian cream sodas, and a table of handmade chocolates.
The new 2,135 square-foot retail space includes a small event space for special occasions, indoor seating for 50, and outdoor seating for 25 during warm weather months. The Milk Shake Factory at PNC Plaza will serve PNC’s employees and will be open to the public as a downtown destination for tourists and residents alike.
Since 2005, The Milk Shake Factory in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood has been a modern spin on a classic soda fountain. The Milk Shake Factory’s original store is located at 1705 East Carson Street, and store hours are from 11:00am – 10:00pm daily.
