Nene Molefi, Managing Director, Mandate Molefi HR Consultants

Nene has a local and international reputation as a D&I thought leader, and practical consultant in Values Driven Leadership & Transformation. She is a guest lecturer for Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute on value-based leadership. She lectures on Transformation Strategy and Multicultural Teams at the Gordon Institute of Business Science and Stellenbosch Business School. Nene serves on several boards as a non-executive director of companies Johannesburg Stock Exchange companies and is an advisory board member of the Auditor General of South Africa.

Julie O’Mara, President, O’Mara and Associates

A consultant, author and recipient of several D&I awards, Julie is a pioneer in the field. A former National President of ASTD, Julie is co-author of Managing Workforce 2000: Gaining the Diversity Advantage, a bestseller published by Jossey-Bass, and author of Diversity Activities and Training Designs, published by Pfeiffer and Company, and author or co-author of numerous publications. She serves on the Board of Berrertt-Koehler Publishers, a B-Corp with a mission to connect people and ideas to create a world that works for all.

Sidalia (Sid) Reel, Ed.D, Director Staff Diversity, University of California, Berkeley

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor Equity & Inclusion, Sid leads efforts to: engage staff and management in increasing staff diversity; develop a leadership development program for staff of color; expand the Multicultural Education Program (MEP); fostering an inclusive workplace environment; and linking efforts to the public mission of the university as part of the Strategic Plan for Equity, Inclusion and Diversity.  Sid’s previous experience includes leading the D&I organization at Hewlett-Packard and serving as diversity manager at Pacific Bell.

Alan Richter, Ph.D., Founder and President, QED Consulting

Specializing in leadership, ethics, values, D&I, and culture, Alan has developed innovative curricula for intercultural effectiveness using assessments, simulations, games, videos, and case studies. He is the author of the award-winning Global Diversity Game and the Global Diversity Survey, the Global Gender Intelligence Assessment and the Global Ethics and Integrity Benchmarks. The United Nations and its agencies have been clients for decades. He has an M.A. and a B.A.B.Sc., University of Cape Town, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Birkbeck College, London University.

Lorie Valle-Yañez, Vice Present and Chief Diversity Officer, MassMutual Financial Group

Working collaboratively with business leaders, Lorie spearheads an enterprise-wide D&I strategy focused on leadership, marketplace & distribution, and workforce & workplace. Serving as an internal advisor and partner, Lorie helps the company leverage its human capital, solve challenges, grow in new markets and innovate. Under her leadership, MassMutual, a Fortune 100 company, rose up the ranks to become a leading company for D&I, currently recognized by Diversity Inc. for both overall D&I and LGBT; the National Association for Female Executives; and Working Mother Media.
