Immigration Journeys: Old and New

April 1 - April 18

Digital Storytelling and Community Conversations

Many of us – our parents, grandparents or great grandparents– came from another country – perhaps from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America. Or maybe you are a refugee from one of
these areas. Ten of your neighbors, both long-time residents and newcomers, have created their own short video accounts about immigration to the Pittsburgh area.Share these experiences with them and others in our community. Join in a discussion about what it was like a generation ago and what it is like now to become uprooted and start a new life. Enjoy food from different cultures, music and dance,
and learn more about the mosaic of cultures that makes up our community.
Two celebrations will be held in the South Hills.
