DESCRIPTION:February 14 – Laying the Groundwork: Your Role in an Inclusive Workplace \nHow do we create the space needed to have meaningful conversations across different dimensions of diversity? In today’s multifaceted world\, building skills for inclusive conversations in the workplace is crucial. To foster inclusive interactions\, we’ll discuss the personal competencies that need to be developed such as commitment\, consistency\, empathy\, and trust. Building a culture of inclusion asks us for full participation as we understand our biases and adjust our approaches. \nIn this training\, participants will: \n• discuss the conditions needed to have inclusive interactions;\n• reflect upon and discuss barriers to individual DEI action; and\n• review ways to build and sustain psychologically safe spaces for these conversations. \nVibrant Pittsburgh’s monthly Lunch and Learn brings together Vibrant Pittsburgh members from across sectors and industries in an informal\, interactive\, and participatory atmosphere to collaborate and deepen knowledge.
