DESCRIPTION:Clear Conversations: Culturally Competent Communication in the Workplace \nCommunicating successfully in the workplace requires practice and skill. Communicating successfully with people from diverse cultures is a continual process. This training will discuss how to overcome obstacles that may impede respectful\, meaningful conversations with people from multilingual backgrounds and recognize differences in communication styles. \nIn this training\, participants will: \n\nunderstand the importance of paying attention to cultural differences in the workplace;\ndiscuss inclusive work environments and how culture can affect communication styles;\nreview aspects of language learning and fluency; and\nlearn tips for communicating more clearly and concisely\n\nVibrant Pittsburgh’s monthly Lunch and Learn brings together Vibrant Pittsburgh members from across sectors and industries in an informal\, interactive\, and participatory atmosphere to collaborate and deepen knowledge.
