SUMMARY:Vibrant Learning Labs: Unlocking the Power of Employee Networks
DESCRIPTION:Vibrant Learning Labs \nUnlocking the Power of Employee Networks \nSuccessful employee networks like Affinity Groups\, ERGs\, ENGs\, and EBRGs are vital for fostering workplace inclusion by promoting a sense of belonging and acceptance. They offer employees opportunities to connect\, engage\, access information and resources\, and advance their careers. According to McKinsey and Company employee networks “help employees feel that they can be authentic at work and derive more meaning and purpose from the work that they do. Employee networks strengthen acceptance\, camaraderie\, and fairness across groups and help members build allyship.” \nThis Vibrant Learning Lab will provide a comprehensive understanding of employee networks and equip participants with practical skills to navigate all stages of employee network development. The discussions and activities will explore real-world examples of opportunities and success\, allowing participants to apply concepts learned during the workshop. \nWorkshop Participants will: \n\nreview current data\, trends\, and benefits to discover what is needed to engage with employee networks at their organization;\nexamine employee network plans\, steps needed to establish or maintain these plans\, and how to implement and monitor them;\ndraft a blueprint for planning\, launching\, sustaining\, or engaging employee networks at their respective organizations.\n\nThis series is an opportunity for Vibrant Pittsburgh to highlight and tackle critical opportunities to improve the practices\, policies\, and cultures of organizations in the Pittsburgh region\, increasing the impact of our collective DE&I efforts. It focuses on the nine pillars of the Vibrant Index. To do this\, we must recognize the unique challenges they face and the unique skills they bring to the workplace. By identifying the broad spectrum of disabilities\, implementing supportive policies and practices\, leveraging technology\, and promoting participation and leadership\, organizations can move towards true inclusivity.
