Job Title: Talent Specialist
Location: Achieva Main Office – Pittsburgh, PA (South Side) (Hybrid: Up to 2 remote days/week)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Pay Rate: $50,000/year
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000

Position Summary
The Talent Specialist serves as a key partner to hiring managers across Achieva’s programs. This role supports the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and early employee engagement. The ideal candidate brings creativity, empathy, and strong organizational skills to help attract top talent and foster a welcoming employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of the recruitment process including job postings, applicant screening, scheduling interviews, and onboarding coordination
Collaborate with department managers to create and update accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
Identify and implement effective sourcing strategies tailored to the needs of each position
Assist with interviews, attend job fairs, and represent Achieva at community recruiting events
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
Provide onboarding support and serve as a point of contact for new hires within their first 30 days
Track and report on recruiting metrics and outcomes to support continuous improvement
Work cross-functionally with HR team members to strengthen recruitment and engagement efforts
Support other HR initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or sales (required)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
Highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred)
Compassionate, approachable, and mission-aligned
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
