Employee Engagement and Relations Specialist
We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resource professional to join our Human Resources team! This position is integral to Achieva’s success in providing employees with various supports and resources and continue to maintain Achieva’s continued success.
Experience in advocacy, support coordination, teaching, and even personal experience with disabilities will make a great candidate. Minimum requirements:
· A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or at least 3 years of experience in a related field.
· Ability to interact with all levels of employees.
· Minimal of two years working in employee relations and retention strategies.
· Preferred experience working in non-profit field.
Salary/rate:
$50,000
Location:
Main Office, located in the South Side.
Travel:
Must have means of transport to our office in South Side, along with various locations around Allegheny/Westmoreland counties.
Position Description:
The Employee Engagement and Relations Specialist will help our organization continue to have a positive workplace environment with reinforcing strong organizational relationships. They will provide counseling and facilitating successful relationships with managers and employees.
Job Responsibilities – Highlights
· Frequently checks in with new hires to learn of their onboarding experience and identify ways to improve the experience, Sharing new hire feedback with managers as appropriate.
· Collaborate with colleagues to look for creative ways to engage, recognize, and connect with the workforce.
· Partner with Achieva’s Communications Department to provide engagement activities, programs, and companywide events.
· Research and suggest retention and engagement strategies.
· Act as a liaison across the organization to establish programs and a feedback loop for their effectiveness.
· Serve as the initial point of contact for new hires and conduct stay/exit interviews when appropriate.
· Provide consultative guidance to supervisory and management staff regarding compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
· Prepare records and provide relevant information to collaborators regarding employee issues.
· Facilitate employment separation, disciplinary, and corrective actions across Achieva.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
