Fred Rogers Productions seeks an experienced Senior Director of Licensing to lead our licensing initiatives. This role will encompass strategic thinking, business development, brand marketing strategy, project management, and data analysis. This position will play a pivotal role in developing a comprehensive licensing strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and maximizing the performance of our licensing portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand licensing strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and core values.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the licensing marketplace.
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to expand our licensing portfolio and drive growth and impact consistent with our mission.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with licensing partners, agents, and licensees.
Project Management:
- Develop project plans and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of licensing initiatives.
- Proactively manage risks and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adapt and optimize licensing strategies based on performance data and market dynamics.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed about project progress, changes, and obstacles.
- Communicate the status of licensed products currently in development.
Report progress toward and obstacles to achieving goals outlined in the strategic plan.
Market Research and Growth Opportunities:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the licensing marketplace.
- Develop innovative strategies to enhance our market position and brand presence.
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in licensing management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial and performance data.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Knowledge of brand licensing and intellectual property rights.
- Familiarity with relevant industry trends and market dynamics.
- Strong problem-solving and risk-management abilities.
