Development Manager

Tree Pittsburgh is seeking a Development Manager. The Development Manager is a key member of Tree Pittsburgh’s fundraising team and is responsible for implementing and growing the organization’s individual giving program, entering donation data, managing the contact management system, and providing essential support for grants and fundraising operations.

The Development Manager manages the donor database (EveryAction/Bonterra), ensuring all gifts are accurately recorded, acknowledged, and tracked. They generate regular fundraising reports and dashboards to inform decision-making and support internal planning. This role leads the implementation of fundraising campaigns, giving days, and the recurring donor program. The Development Manager is responsible for producing appeal letters, thank-you notes, newsletter
content, and impact updates, and coordinates logistics for donor cultivation and fundraising events.

Select Responsibilities

• Manage and implement individual giving program, including messaging and appeal writing, direct mail, and online campaign development
• Manage and grow the recurring gift and gift-a-tree programs
  Implement strategies and cultivation efforts to increase the mid-level giving program
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the donor database
• Enter donor gift and quality-check all incoming online donations for proper tracking and sending of acknowledgements
• Assist the Director of Development with grant research, writing, and reporting
