Facilities Manager

The Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR) Facilities Manager is responsible for inspecting and maintaining multiple DLAR animal facilities’ infrastructure, in accordance with regulatory, University and departmental requirements. Duties include:

Inspecting buildings to determine the need for repairs or renovations,
Ensuring mechanical operations of HVAC, plumbing and lighting systems,
Assisting in planning and coordination of facility construction, renovations, repairs, and equipment installations,
Managing the upkeep of equipment to meet health and safety standards,
Communicating with external contractors and service vendors,
Liaising with DLAR units to project major equipment purchases,
Preparing and oversee budget expenditures,
Overseeing equipment and caging repair, and
Supervising logistics of animal transportation including vehicle maintenance.

Ideal candidate will have experience manager multiple buildings.
