Wesley Family Services is currently hiring a Behavioral Health Worker in our CSBBH program to join our team! This is a great opportunity to obtain experience in the public school setting and with other county agencies. We offer licensure supervision, on-site supervision, and an extensive professional development program for FREE.

Behavioral Health Technician-School Based Position Summary

WFS is currently looking for a Behavioral Health Technician for our School Based Community Care Behavioral Health Program working under the clinical direction of a Behavior Consultant Mobile Therapist (BcMT), provides quality therapeutic mental health services with children and adolescents in the school, home and/or community setting. The BHT follows an individualized treatment plan to ensure individualized behavioral health services. The BHT must maintain a variable/flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends, as needed by the client and their family. The BHT also provides service coordination for clients and their families. Rotating crisis response is also required.

70% school based

30% in home & community work

Minimum Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling preferred. Any human services related degree will be considered. Degree must be from an accredited institution.

Experience

1 year experience at minimum, 2+ years preferred with children and youth in a clinical setting.
Experience with Adults in a clinical setting will be considered.
Case management/service coordination experience will be considered.
Internship experience counts towards this requirement.
Experience in a school setting highly preferred.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances

PA Child Abuse Clearance
FBI and PA criminal background clearances
Valid PA Drivers License
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge of behavioral disorders, various interventions and treatment modalities
Critical observation skills
Ability to assess, interpret and effectively report data relevant to treatment goals
Ability to work with groups of children in a school setting
Ability to work with youth and families in their home and community settings
Ability to demonstrate crisis prevention skills
Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, PBS, Recovery/Resiliency, and Structural Family Therapy
Ability to exhibit cultural sensitivity and to contribute to a work environment where diversity is welcomed and supported.
Demonstrated professionalism within all aspects of conduct, appearance, and language
Ability to travel locally on a constant basis
Ability to provide flexibility in day to day schedule (day, evening, weekend)
