Homeless Children’s Education Fund

Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) was founded in 1999 to support the educational needs of children experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County. Today, HCEF has expanded to provide educational support services for students and young adults aged pre-K to 24. Our programs include early literacy, afterschool and summer programming, educational enrichment services, college and career planning, mobile tutoring, emergency support, post-secondary monetary awards, and education advocacy.

The mission of the Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) is to advance the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness in Southwestern PA, guiding them to be productive, empowered citizens.
