Formerly Pittsburgh Technical Institute (PTI), Pittsburgh Technical College (PTC) has been a part of Pittsburgh’s education community for over 75 years. We’ve witnessed many changes, but the fundamental qualities that make us who we are mean not only preparing our students for fulfilling careers, but ensuring that our employees work in an environment that nurtures and promotes their success, too.
PTC is an academic community that values collaboration, where employees are comfortable approaching others at all levels of the college. We support each other as we guide and mentor our students to reach their potential. It’s a big job, and PTC employees know that they’re valued. Our culture is supportive and friendly, and embraces diversity. Gratitude is expressed often.
Part of our mission is working with employers and companies to enhance our curriculum and program offerings, and provide opportunities for students across a large swath of industries, from healthcare to IT to culinary and the trades.
