Sabrina Saunders Mosby (she/her)

President and Chief Executive Officer

Sabrina Saunders Mosby, a native of Pittsburgh, PA—the “City of Bridges”—has dedicated much of her career to helping others navigate and cross them. As a seasoned executive, she currently serves as the President and CEO of Vibrant Pittsburgh, a premier economic development organization supporting more than 50,000 stakeholders and the region’s leading resource, spokesperson, and convener on workforce diversity and inclusion.

With extensive leadership experience across sectors, Sabrina has held senior roles in multiple nonprofits and spent nearly a decade in government, advocating for local and federal constituents. She has a proven ability to partner with business and community leaders to drive strategic change and build impactful local programs. Stakeholders describe her as highly creative, collaborative, visionary, and results-oriented, making her a sought-after keynote speaker, facilitator, and workshop leader.

Sabrina’s accomplishments have earned her numerous awards, including recognition as an Athena Young Professional Finalist, Ebony Magazine’s Top 30, Pittsburgh Courier Fab 40, Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 Under 40, Whirl Magazine’s 50 Finest, four consecutive appearances on the Pittsburgh Business Times Power 100 list, and a 2023 C-Suite awardee.

In addition to her professional success, Sabrina is deeply committed to public service. She serves on several boards, including the Allegheny Health Network, the Children’s Museum, the Pittsburgh Women’s Alliance, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, and the Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Sabrina is an alumna of Leadership Pittsburgh’s LDI XVII, a proud TEDx speaker, and holds a Master of Science degree from Carlow University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Lora McKnight leads strategic operations and program development at Vibrant Pittsburgh, spearheading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the Pittsburgh region. With a passion for fostering inclusive practices, Lora has crafted and implemented transformative programs to advance these crucial efforts.

Previously contributing to the Immigrants and Internationals Advisory Council of Allegheny County and the Welcoming Pittsburgh Advisory Council of the City of Pittsburgh, Lora currently serves on the boards of Awaken Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance and is a recent graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh (XL Cohort, the “best cohort ever”). Her background includes roles at The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southwestern PA and Chatham University. Lora earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University and holds an MLIS degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Sabrina Bogus is responsible for the management and administration of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s strategic partnerships and all aspects of member relations.

Sabrina joins Vibrant Pittsburgh as a seasoned nonprofit director with 10+ years of expertise in leading a team to achieve ambitious organizational goals. Her background spans leadership and personnel management, strategic membership planning and growth, and event production.

She is passionate about ensuring safe, positive, and meaningful experiences for any client or stakeholder of an organization, celebrating what each individual brings to the team.  After seeing the growth and change happening in Pittsburgh, Sabrina is looking forward to being part of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s efforts to positively impact these changes.

In her spare time, Sabrina is interested in victim advocacy, working on her yearly reading challenge, crafting projects, and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Hailing from Nigeria by way of DC/MD/VA and now Pittsburgh, Dr. Emiola Oriola Jr has centered his personal, professional and academic career& journey around building bridges amongst division, connecting perspectives across difference, and reimagining relationships within community, all aimed at creating sustainable, inclusive and tangible unity within diversity wherever he goes.

Before serving as the Sr, Director of Program Innovation & Impact for Vibrant Pittsburgh, Dr. Oriola previously worked at the University of Pittsburgh as a senior leader on campus, engaging internal & external stakeholders, local community organizations, and regional, national, and international partners as the Inaugural Director for the Office of Inclusion & Belonging and the Office of Interfaith Dialogue and Engagement. There, he honed his skills as a scholar-practitioner, a diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice facilitator, strategist, visionary, and community leader. Dr. Oriola’s research focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion (specifically belonging), global perspectives, and building significant learning skills through intentional exposure/experiential learning, communal building and dialogue, and creative and innovative expression and processing. Dr. Oriola is the recipient of the Who’s Who in Black Pittsburgh honoree (2015), a One Young World US Ambassador (2016), Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP’s 40 Under 40 awardee (2016), a recipient of the New Pittsburgh Courier Men of Excellence award (2017), a recipient of the University of Pittsburgh Leadership Award for exceptional leadership to INVESTING NOW students and families (2018), a recipient of the Rising African American Leader Award from the African American Alumni Council of the University of Pittsburgh (2019), an awardee of Interfaith Youth Core We Are Each Other’s Harvest (2020) and the recipient of the Distinguished Early Career Award Recipient – Pitt School of Education (2024).

Allegra B. Elson is responsible for the strategy, design, management and administration of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s diversity, equity, and inclusion educational programming.

Allegra has with extensive experience in teaching, facilitation, project management, and curriculum design and implementation in both nonprofit and for-profit industries. She taught English as a Foreign Language in China, Indonesia, Italy, and Turkey. She was an adjunct professor of Italian at the University of Pittsburgh, Kent State University, and Duquesne University. As a volunteer member of AmeriCorps, she served as an English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education instructor.

Allegra is embedded in the immigrant, refugee, and international communities as a member of the Immigrants & Internationals Advisory Council at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services; she also co-chairs its LGBTQ+ subcommittee. She serves on the City of Pittsburgh’s Welcoming Communities Advisory Council through the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs. Allegra serves on the Board of Directors of ARYSE (Alliance for Refugee Youth Support and Education). She is also volunteers her time as Vice-Chair of the Italian Nationality Room Committee at the University of Pittsburgh.

A native Pittsburgher, Allegra has a Master’s degree in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh and a TESOL Certificate from Teachers College, Columbia University. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and was named one of Pittsburgh’s 40 under 40 by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Megan Skubovius (she/her)

Megan Skubovius is responsible for Vibrant Pittsburgh’s communications and external relations strategy. Early in her education, Megan centered her skill set around nonprofit marketing and development – relationship building, project management, and communication. Megan brings over a decade of experience working within organizations of varying sizes to elevate development, project management, and operational functions. Megan’s work often includes high-level engagement with diverse constituencies – from executives and boards to clientele and the public – where she has grown and redefined their approach to constituent relationships garnering more fruitful relationships, meaningful engagement, and impactful involvement. 

Megan’s experience has crossed multiple industries, including higher education, pediatric healthcare, and, most recently, food banking. Among her proudest accomplishments, she always talks about her experience orchestrating a float entry into the Rose Parade® and her efforts to open a pediatric specialty clinic in rural West Virginia.  

A native of southern Wisconsin (it’s warmer in the “south”), she named Pittsburgh her home nearly 15 years ago. She left the Midwest to earn a B.A. degree in Public Relations from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She and her husband settled in Washington, Pennsylvania, where they started a successful small business and nonprofit creative studio her husband continues to run. While most of her sporting allegiances have remained in Wisconsin, cheering for the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers, she has found footing in rooting for the Penguins thanks to her spouse. Their two daughters usually keep them busy, but when she gets the chance, she enjoys taking her artsy side for a spin attempting to avoid Pinterest fails, writing, and musical theater.

Irving Torres is responsible for overseeing Vibrant Pittsburgh’s member retention strategy, data and processes related to member recruitment and retention, and managing the logistics of all member engagement events. He is excited to bring his non-profit leadership and capacity building as well as community partnership experience to his role.

For the past 7 years, Irving has been involved with spearheading a myriad of community-based programming initiatives throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. These initiatives include coordinating gender-based violence prevention programming through the University of Pittsburgh and directing Pittsburgh’s National Health Corps, an AmeriCorps program, dedicated towards mitigating health disparities in underserved communities via the promotion of health access and health education.

A New York City native by way of Queens and Harlem, Irving considers Pittsburgh his second home. Irving is interested in creative writing, mental health advocacy, mindfulness, and finding a variety of ways to share a laugh with loved ones.

Matthew Yohe (he/him)

Matthew Yohe is responsible for facilitating program and event workflow for all aspects of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s annual cycle of member and talent community programming and events. Matthew has experience in developing and managing non-profit events and programs such as educational courses, member events, and conferences. For the past three years he managed educational programs for emergency medical service educators virtually and in various cities across the country. Matthew has also worked to promote healthy food access programs in Pittsburgh via urban gardening programs and community garden projects and continues to be an advocate and resource for these initiatives.

Matthew has a B.S. degree in Sociology from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. As a native of Pittsburgh, he is excited to bring his enthusiasm and experiences to Vibrant Pittsburgh’s mission of fostering equitable, inclusive, and diverse workplaces. In his spare time Matthew enjoys time with his plants, pets, family, and being outdoors.

Emma Konopka is responsible for attracting, retaining, and engaging Vibrant Pittsburgh member organizations as well as engaging the region’s talent community. She maintains these responsibilities by planning, executing, supporting, coordinating, and gathering data for member events as well as prospective members.

Emma joins Vibrant with experience in different avenues of community work and engagement including companies, grassroots organizations, and nonprofits. She has a background in various leadership roles, meeting goals for individuals and groups alike. Emma also has experience in tracking, assessing, and analyzing data used to inform practices and goals. She received her BSW with a minor in Human Resources from Carlow University.

Emma is passionate about community and what it means to be a part of and to serve communities and individuals. She believes in practices that value communities and community growth through empowering individuals, groups, and organizations.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys arts and crafts, trying DIY projects, and spending time with loved ones.

As a Certified Scrum Master, Markeea knows how to juggle multiple projects with ease, all while maintaining a cool and collected demeanor. Her knack for turning complex challenges into smooth, successful outcomes is truly something to behold. Whether she’s orchestrating a high-energy marketing campaign or diving into the nitty-gritty of CRM systems, Markeea brings a burst of innovation and fun to every task.

Markeea is the visionary behind Girls Running Sh**(GRS), a platform she created to inspire and uplift women everywhere. From organizing fabulous events to crafting eye-catching social media content, she’s all about spreading positivity and empowering others. With GRS, she’s not just running things—she’s running them with style!

With extensive experience as an Executive Assistant, LayAnn Allah now serves as the Executive & Team Support Coordinator at Vibrant Pittsburgh, where she adeptly oversees administrative operations, coordinates team initiatives, and ensures organizational efficiency. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminology at Southern New Hampshire University, earning distinction on the President’s List in September 2024.

A proud member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, LayAnn is deeply committed to leadership, personal growth, and community service. She actively contributes to her church, God’s Re-Creation Christian Center, embodying a dedication to excellence and a passion for making a positive impact in every endeavor.
