Sabrina Saunders Mosby (she/her)

President and Chief Executive Officer

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, the “City of Bridges,” Sabrina Saunders Mosby has spent the better part of her career helping others cross them. A seasoned executive, Ms. Mosby currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Vibrant Pittsburgh, a premier economic development membership organization and the region’s central resource, spokesperson, and convener on workforce diversity and inclusion.

A cross-sector leader, Ms. Mosby has held senior roles at numerous nonprofits and spent close to a decade in the government sector while advocating for local constituents at the local and federal levels. Ms. Mosby has a proven track record of partnering with business and community leaders to develop strategic change and build local programs. Described by stakeholders as highly creative, collaborative, visionary and results-oriented, she is a sought after keynote speaker, facilitator, and workshop leader. Ms. Mosby is a recipient of numerous awards and honors including being named an Athena Young Professional Finalist, Ebony Magazine Top 30, Pittsburgh Courier Fab 40, Pittsburgh Magazine 40 under 40, Whirl Magazine 50 Finest, and to the Pittsburgh Business Times’ Power 100 list in 2021 and 2022. Sabrina is deeply involved in public service and her community and professional affiliations are many, including serving on the boards of Allegheny Health Network, the Pittsburgh Women’s Alliance, PA American Water, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Mount Ararat Community Activity Center, and as Vice-Chair of the board for her alma mater, Oakland Catholic High School. Ms. Mosby is an alumnus of Leadership Pittsburgh’s LDI XVII, holds a Master of Science degree from Carlow University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Sabrina lives in the Pittsburgh region with her husband Brandon and their son Lincoln.

Lora McKnight is responsible for operational and programmatic strategy at Vibrant Pittsburgh, driving change and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Pittsburgh region. Lora has developed and facilitated a variety of programs to accelerate the adoption of best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion, including the D&I Forum, Next Generation Council, PGHNewcomerConnect, the Vibrant Index, and Vibrant Talent Consultants.

Lora previously worked with The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southwestern PA and Chatham University. Lora received her Bachelor of Science (Psychology) degree from Illinois State University, and holds a MLIS degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Derrick Shoffner is charged with advancing the mission of Vibrant Pittsburgh via strategic planning, development and execution of the organization’s suite of programs & services. As an innovator, Derrick is excited to continue to deliver innovative programs that will positively affect the Western Pennsylvania region and further position Vibrant Pittsburgh as an industry leader. For the past three years, Derrick has played a pivotal role in creating and fostering environments where all are seen, respected and valued in the local health and wellness community. This work has granted Derrick opportunities to work with many prominent local and national organizations such as Brooks Running, Running USA, the Outdoor Inclusion Coalition and many more. Through these contributions, Derrick has garnered awards such as Pittsburgh Business Times 30 Under 30 and GetInvolved! Inc. Male Emerging Leader of the Year.

A native North Carolinian, he earned his B.S. from Western Carolina before completing his M.S. coursework at Clemson University. Derrick is excited to contribute to the thriving region of Western Pennsylvania. In his free time, Derrick enjoys spending time outdoors, being active, reading new books and mentoring.

Sabrina Bogus is responsible for the management and administration of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s strategic partnerships and all aspects of member relations.

Sabrina joins Vibrant Pittsburgh as a seasoned nonprofit director with 10+ years of expertise in leading a team to achieve ambitious organizational goals. Her background spans leadership and personnel management, strategic membership planning and growth, and event production.

She is passionate about ensuring safe, positive, and meaningful experiences for any client or stakeholder of an organization, celebrating what each individual brings to the team.  After seeing the growth and change happening in Pittsburgh, Sabrina is looking forward to being part of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s efforts to positively impact these changes.

In her spare time, Sabrina is interested in victim advocacy, working on her yearly reading challenge, crafting projects, and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Allegra B. Elson (she/her)

Allegra B. Elson (she/her)

Allegra B. Elson is responsible for the strategy, design, management and administration of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) educational programming.

Allegra has with extensive experience in teaching, facilitation, project management, and curriculum design and implementation in both nonprofit and for-profit industries. She taught English as a Foreign Language in China, Indonesia, Italy, and Turkey. She was an adjunct professor of Italian at the University of Pittsburgh, Kent State University, and Duquesne University. As a volunteer member of AmeriCorps, she served as an English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education instructor.

Allegra is embedded in the immigrant, refugee, and international communities as a member of the Immigrants & Internationals Advisory Council at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services; she also co-chairs its LGBTQ+ subcommittee. She serves on the City of Pittsburgh’s Welcoming Communities Advisory Council through the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs. Allegra serves on the Board of Directors of ARYSE (Alliance for Refugee Youth Support and Education). She is also volunteers her time as Vice-Chair of the Italian Nationality Room Committee at the University of Pittsburgh.

A native Pittsburgher, Allegra has a Master’s degree in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh and a TESOL Certificate from Teachers College, Columbia University. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and was named one of Pittsburgh’s 40 under 40 by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Megan Skubovius (she/her)

Megan Skubovius is responsible for Vibrant Pittsburgh’s communications and external relations strategy. Early in her education, Megan centered her skill set around nonprofit marketing and development – relationship building, project management, and communication. Megan brings over a decade of experience working within organizations of varying sizes to elevate development, project management, and operational functions. Megan’s work often includes high-level engagement with diverse constituencies – from executives and boards to clientele and the public – where she has grown and redefined their approach to constituent relationships garnering more fruitful relationships, meaningful engagement, and impactful involvement. 

Megan’s experience has crossed multiple industries, including higher education, pediatric healthcare, and, most recently, food banking. Among her proudest accomplishments, she always talks about her experience orchestrating a float entry into the Rose Parade® and her efforts to open a pediatric specialty clinic in rural West Virginia.  

A native of southern Wisconsin (it’s warmer in the “south”), she named Pittsburgh her home nearly 15 years ago. She left the Midwest to earn a B.A. degree in Public Relations from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She and her husband settled in Washington, Pennsylvania, where they started a successful small business and nonprofit creative studio her husband continues to run. While most of her sporting allegiances have remained in Wisconsin, cheering for the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers, she has found footing in rooting for the Penguins thanks to her spouse. Their two daughters usually keep them busy, but when she gets the chance, she enjoys taking her artsy side for a spin attempting to avoid Pinterest fails, writing, and musical theater. 

Irving Torres (he/him)

Irving Torres is responsible for overseeing Vibrant Pittsburgh’s member retention strategy, data and processes related to member recruitment and retention, and managing the logistics of all member engagement events. He is excited to bring his non-profit leadership and capacity building as well as community partnership experience to his role.

For the past 7 years, Irving has been involved with spearheading a myriad of community-based programming initiatives throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. These initiatives include coordinating gender-based violence prevention programming through the University of Pittsburgh and directing Pittsburgh’s National Health Corps, an AmeriCorps program, dedicated towards mitigating health disparities in underserved communities via the promotion of health access and health education.

A New York City native by way of Queens and Harlem, Irving considers Pittsburgh his second home. Irving is interested in creative writing, mental health advocacy, mindfulness, and finding a variety of ways to share a laugh with loved ones.

Matthew Yohe (he/him)

Matthew Yohe is responsible for facilitating program and event workflow for all aspects of Vibrant Pittsburgh’s annual cycle of member and talent community programming and events. Matthew has experience in developing and managing non-profit events and programs such as educational courses, member events, and conferences. For the past three years he managed educational programs for emergency medical service educators virtually and in various cities across the country. Matthew has also worked to promote healthy food access programs in Pittsburgh via urban gardening programs and community garden projects and continues to be an advocate and resource for these initiatives.

Matthew has a B.S. degree in Sociology from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. As a native of Pittsburgh, he is excited to bring his enthusiasm and experiences to Vibrant Pittsburgh’s mission of fostering equitable, inclusive, and diverse workplaces. In his spare time Matthew enjoys time with his plants, pets, family, and being outdoors.

Esu Obu (she/her)

As the Talent Engagement and Community Relations Coordinator, Esu Obu is responsible for engaging with Vibrant Pittsburgh’s prospective and existing members. She facilitates event execution, database management and curates a customized experience for members to leverage Vibrant Pittsburgh’s collaborative resources and services which include: the Executive Dine Around Series, the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Forum, the Employee Business Resource Group (EBRG) Council, the Next Generation Council, Allegheny Allies, Lunch & Learns, and mentorship programming.

Esu’s leadership experience in the consumer goods industry & firsthand experience as a person with intersecting, underrepresented identities fuel her dedication to support organizations in their efforts to foster a welcoming workplace and thriving community at large. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and a minor in Nutrition and Health. Afterwards, she matriculated into corporate America and found herself actively seeking and immersing in EBRGs. Since recently completing her Master of Science in Nutrition and Rural Development with a concentration in Nutrition Security & Management at Ghent University in Belgium as a Master Mind Scholar, Esu has served Kesho Congo in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN in Rome, the University of Maryland, and Women Advancing Nutrition, Dietetics and Agriculture (WANDA) in Washington, DC. Esu is keen to apply her insight and analytical skills to support a strategic, catalytic approach to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Outside of her role, Esu invests time in nonprofit and governmental organizations that advocate social equity or build food systems which address sustainability and health outcomes. Overall, she enjoys using each day as an opportunity to demonstrate love. You may find her at events focused on outdoor activities, food, intercultural immersion, music, arts or in her local community as a Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE) Fellow.

Rabab Alqarqosh (she/her)

Rabab Alqarqosh is responsible for managing social media platforms through the scheduling, design, and posting of content. Rabab previously worked at The Tull Family Theater as a graphic designer, and established Camellia Store in 2018; as the founder, she is a jack-of-all-trades, writing business plans, designing the brand identity, and creating online advertising. Doing all these things allowed her to gain expertise in attracting customer attention through social platforms.

Rabab graduated Magna Cum Lade from Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in August 2022. Rabab is excited to utilize her design skills to create content that supports Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Vibrant Pittsburgh’s Office Administrator and Executive Scheduler supports the weekly functions of the hybrid office including inventory, staff onboarding and administrative hiring/exiting, payroll/banking/bookkeeping, administrative management, membership general Inquiry & response management, Board of Directors support and meeting planning, vendor management and oversight, executive scheduling & calendar management for CEO and other program or administrative duties as needed.
