Allegheny Allies

Allegheny Allies is a regional affinity group with the mission of promoting a diverse and robust Greater Pittsburgh region through fostering fellowship, belonging, and professional development of diverse employees and their allies in small to midsize Vibrant Pittsburgh member organizations. Allegheny Allies is unique in its ability to connect employees across industry and sector, mitigating silos through cross organizational pollination. Allegheny Allies supports the development of diverse employees at a regional level—especially those at organizations that may lack resources for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Allegheny Allies invites members from all affinity groups, encouraging talent to show up as their full, authentic selves without the need to put their identity into a single box. Next Generation Council

The Next Generation Council was created to engage millennial leaders in the retention work happening in the Pittsburgh region, with the goal of gaining better insight into what young professionals think about the region and what impacts their desire and ability to stay in the region. As the millennial generation is diverse and highly mobile, their decision to stay in or leave our region will make a significant impact on our population growth and economic vitality over the next 20 years. Greater Pittsburgh D&I Forum

The D&I Forum gathers Pittsburgh-based Chief Diversity Officers and other leaders responsible for driving organizational DEI to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion as a strategic imperative. The D&I Forum acts as a voice to influence positive change, as a disseminator of promising DEI practices, and as a platform for the promotion of workplace DEI. CEO Vision Breakfast

The annual CEO Vision Breakfast convenes regional leaders who are ready to create solutions that will cement Pittsburgh as a destination of opportunity and of choice for people of all backgrounds. This exclusive event engages top regional leadership to ensure that organizations sustain their efforts to realize equitable and inclusive workplace cultures. Executive Dine Arounds

Executive Dine Arounds assist newcomer executives of color in making the connections that retain them in the region. Dine Arounds are fun, relaxing events designed to provide newcomers and their spouses or partners with an opportunity to connect with their peers in a stress-free environment. These gatherings typically occur in the homes of local executive hosts and include not only a diversity of newcomers but also local long-time residents. Vibrant Pittsburgh amplifies member job opportunities in the region to our 2500+ job seekers through our Job Board and the Jobsburgh Talent Newsletter. A quarterly convening of the leaders and sponsors of our member’s Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs), The EBRG Council connects EBRGs in the region to disseminate promising practices and support EBRG leaders within our membership. The Vibrant Index

The Vibrant Index was established in 2019 to inspire organizations in the Pittsburgh region to utilize best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Each of the practices surveyed in the Vibrant Index are supported by research in the field of DEI. The Vibrant Index process is free to all organizations in the greater Pittsburgh region, and assists organizations identifying DEI strengths as well as areas for continual improvement. Participating organizations are encouraged to connect with Vibrant Pittsburgh to further explore strategies and practices to advance future DEI efforts.
