Position Title: Director of Employee Relations and HR Operations
Business Unit: Human Resources
Reports to: EVP of Human Resources and Corporate Services
Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for human resources areas other than compensation and benefits and is accountable for the HR direction for the corporation. The incumbent is responsible for employee services, administration, and training and development. The incumbent directs HR functional managers and is responsible for goals as established in the annual operating plan, coordinates work within the unit or department through the HR direct reports and partners with other key senior and division management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Partners with senior management and executive leadership on HR strategies and provides day to day management of the HR team ensuring successful execution of plans and tactics to achieve FNB’s organizational goals.
Provides leadership for all employee relations. Consults with and mentors human resources staff and senior management. Investigates, mediates and corrects issues and ensures appropriate corrective actions are consistently administered. Counsels employees when necessary.
Leads the development and management of the Human Resources Department budget.
Oversees the development and implementation of Human Resources related corporate policies and procedures.
Provides detailed reporting to the EVP of Human Resources and Corporate Services, Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors on HR related matters including staffing, succession planning.
Leads in the design, development and implementation of an effective succession planning process to ensure FNB has leadership and professional readiness to meet the corporation’s growth plans.
Coordinates the human resources department with all levels of management to ensure smooth, effective and efficient management of information. Also leads coordinating HR efforts during Merger and Acquisition activity.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

PHR/SPHR preferred
