Our Special Education Teacher collaborates with our amazing team to coordinate and provide appropriate instruction to meet our students’ unique needs.
The Goal: To help and inspire our amazing students to achieve their learning milestones
Part of your responsibilities will include:
Identifying students’ needs and determining appropriate goals.
Developing and implementing students’ IEPs.
Updating IEPS throughout the school year to reflect student’s progress and goals.
Maintaining regular communication with families regarding classroom activities and students’ performance.
Supervising and mentoring other paraprofessionals.
Collaborating with the support staff (e.g., LP, OT, PT).
Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from an approved college or university
At least one year of successful experience in a Special Education setting
Current certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Special Education (or appropriate subject area)
